UPPER DUBLIN CANDIDATES:
LIZ FERRY COMMISSIONER CANDIDATE WARD 1.
Image may contain: 1 person, smilingWe are so incredibly lucky to have had Liz serve as commissioner in Ward 1. Over the last 4 years she has proven time and time again that she truly has Upper Dublin Residents best interest at heart. We are thrilled she is willing to serve us again.
Throughout her career, Liz has worked on issues in service to her community. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, including serving as President George W. Bush’s regional appointment to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and as a Director for Pennsylvania Senator Rob Wonderling. Liz currently works for the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia advancing pro-growth economic policies in Harrisburg. Liz also serves as a Township Commissioner for Upper Dublin in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. As Commissioner of Upper Dublin, Liz has worked to improve the Fort Washington Office Park for commercial development, limit growth in residential areas to preserve remaining open space, and control township spending.

INTRODUCING CHRIS DUERR, COMMISSIONER CANDIDATE FOR WARD 2.

Chris is a solo practitioner attorney with 25 years of comprehensive legal experience in the private and public sectors. He served as in-house counsel for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel and held several positions with Philadelphia area Law Firms. Throughout, his career, Chris has been involved in community service. Chris was a member of the Upper Dublin Planning Commission for 8 years (2005-2012).
He was on the steering committee to the development of the first Upper Dublin Comprehensive Plan and participated in the review and update of UD Stormwater Management, Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances.
He is a volunteer to the Honduras Water Mission through St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Whitemarsh and a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish, Ambler. Chris has in the past been a prison mentor, volunteer coach for numerous sports teams and a cub scout leader.
Chris has a JD from Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. He completed the Wharton Management Program, Wharton School, the University of
Pennsylvania and has a BA in Political Science from Temple University. Chris and his wife have two grown children who attended Upper Dublin schools and one child in middle school.

Bill is a Certified Public Accountant with over 48 years of business, accounting and consulting Experience . He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on various Philadelphia Chapter committees . Bill is also a Certified Financial Planner since 1986.
Bill’s community services include President and Treasurer of various civic and non-profit Organizations and community boards. He has experience and involvement with PIDC (Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.) in various projects and construction; and Pennsylvania Department of Economic and Development grants.
Bill graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelor and Science in Accounting . He is a Widower with three grown children and four grandchildren and is PIAA Official in softball and soccer in the Suburban One League.
